  1. An assessment of the current status of continuing medial education (CME) among primary health care doctors : a case for the creation of a national CME body.

    Objective 

    The current study was conducted during January 1993 to assess the present situation regarding continuing medical educatin (CME) among primary health care (PHC) physicians.

    Method 

    Confidential questionnaires were received from 289 randomly selected PHC physicians in the Riyadh region.

    The questionnaires contained queries about sociodemographic data, attitude and practice, expectations and needs and available CME facilities.

    Different scores were allocated for various methods of CME.

    Results 

    The participants'attendance of CME activities was varied.
