  1. Health information provision to rural communities in Malawi : research findings.

    Article - En anglais

This paper presents findings of the research on health information provision to rural communities in Malawi based on two parallel surveys covering both the providers and consumers of health information.

The results show that much of the information which is disseminated nationally does not reach the majority of the population and the little information that filters through is under-utilized.

Coordination of all health information provision activities, consolidation and repackaging and marketing of the available information, more research in user needs and information-seeking behaviour are argued to be among the potential solutions.
