  1. Correcting for non-differential misclassification in ecologic analyses.

    Article - En anglais

Brenner and co-workers have shown that non-differential misclassification of a binary exposure can produce bias away from the null in ecologic estimates of rate difference and rate ratios.

This paper provides methods which allow correction for this bias and the bias produced by non-differential misclassification of disease.

These methods provide a convenient framework for examining the sensitivity of ecologic estimates to non-differential misclassification.

Such sensitivity can be a far more important source of uncertainty in ecologic estimates than sampling variability.
