Armenia has been plagued with economic and political difficulties, which have had a negative impact on health care for women.
Boston's Beth Israel Hospital, in conjunction with Harvard Medical School, helped establish a women's health center in Yerevan that concentrates on preventive gynecologic care.
The experiences of four residents who participated in the project are described.
