Postgraduate paediatric education: perspective and issues.
This communication raises some issues and intends to provoke thought related to postgraduate education in paediatrics with special reference to Saudi Arabia and its Eastern Province.
Questions relating to selection, quality of training and evaluation have been raised previously but apart from suggestions, no attempt has been made to answer them.
Attention is drawn to the need for a national dialogue for future development necessitated by the rapidly changing needs of health care of children in the Kingdom.
