    Article - En anglais

Safety issues pertaining to chemicals used in the clinical laboratory are reviewed.

Serious injury with permanent disability, or even loss of life, can result from accidental exposure to chemicals that can be corrosive, volatile, flammable, unstable, toxic, or carcinogenic.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards obligate an employer to inform employees of the danger associated with working with certain chemicals and to prepare a chemical hygiene plan documenting practices and procedures for the safe handling of hazardous substances in the clinical laboratory.
