  1. Dimensions of knowledge attitudes and behavior of diet and cardiovascular disease based on principles of diet and disease and behavior change model criteria.

    Article - En anglais

The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility of dimensional analysis using behavior change model criteria along with scientific diet and disease information, as an alternative method of analyzing knowledge, attitudes and behavior (KAB).

We analyzed baseline KAB of diet, risk factors and cardiovascular disease (CHD) of 47 college undergraduates as a model.

We identified 2 knowledge dimensions, 2 behavior dimensions, and 4 attitude dimensions.

We found a pattern of knowledge, attitudes and situations which theoretically suggested reasons why problem behaviors might be present or heart healthy actions absent.
