The training of the attitude and required abilities to approach vital emergencies has received small attention in the traditional medical education in this country.
It is often the cause of insecurity and frustration among students who must act in critical situations.
This state of affairs may be related to the massification of education, its basically theoretical character, the difficulties to use the critical patients for teaching purposes, and the fact that the virtually exclusive teaching instrument is still the magisterial class.
