    The present study uses analytic techniques to evaluate the breast-feeding dilemma and estimate how high HIV transmission via breast milk would need to be before HIV-positive mothers should be counseled not to breast-feed; it also analyzes a less commonly, discussed third alternative to breast and bottle feeding by the HIV-infected mother, wet nurses.
