  1. Guidelines for an effective radiation safety program in a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) laboratory.

    Article - En anglais

The radionuclides are used in metabolic labeling experiments usually conducted in designated facilities following guidelines established for work involving infectious agents.

Issues such as protection agains occupational exposure to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV); safe handling of radionuclides in these facilities; monitoring for radiation contamination; calibration of instruments; and radioactive waste disposal must be addressed.

We have developed what we believe to be a safe, effective, and practical radiation protection program to address these issues.
