    Article - En anglais

More than 1 million people in the United States are estimated to be infected with the human immnuodeficiency virus (HIV), a national prevalence of 0.3%. About half of those infected are men who have sex with men and a quarter are injection drug users.

The incidence of HIV infection appears to have leveled off among men who have sex with men but continues to rise in injection drug users, women, and persons who have acquired HIV infection through heterosexual contact.
