Traduction en anglais : Teaching of the urology : New problems and possible solutions.
The practice of medicine, the relationship doctor-patient, and its environment suffer inevitable social and economic changes.
The teaching of special fields of study is within this major problem and is therefore affected by these changes whose common denominator is the restrictions for an adequate teacher-student contact.
To overcome these difficulties it is necessary to stimulate dedication, creativity, and the method of teaching.
The purpose of this essay is to review some aspects of the method of teaching, including the theory class, interactive workshops based on conceptual maps, integration systems, and the resources provided by the method of cases and the presentation of problematic situations.
The interactive workshops encouraged students with the practical activities in classroom, achieving in this way an associative work that promoted interest, grupal activity, analysis, and consolidation of the knowledge previously acquired in each issue.
All this constitutes a reproductive and successful experience with respect to the mentioned difficulties.
