    The office is filled with potential medical malpractice traps that could expose physicians directly or through the doctrine of vicarious liability to legal action.

    The primary difference in a hospital setting is that the ability of the plastic surgeon to control the various sources of injury is markedly decreased.

    This article presents an overview of considerations for the practicing plastic surgeon with regards to potential areas of risk and liability.
