A Lyme borreliosis information leaflet has been produced to promote awareness amongst the general public.
It was designed to provide a framework for similar material throughout Europe and complements a questionnaire produced to measure awareness of Lyme borreliosis.
This questionnaire can be used to determine the impact of educational campaigns using material such as the leaflet.
Feasibility studies showed that the questionnaire successfully highlighted predictable differences between sample groups and also that the leaflet performed well in increasing knowledge in low-awareness groups.
