Traduction en anglais : Reflections on meat consumption.
More and more the consumtion of food of animal origin, especially meat, is criticized.
This paper gives some reflections on ethioc aspects, quality of the production and quality of the product.
First it is pointed out that nature does not know any moralistic regulations.
Only the human race created an ethic codex including the ban of killing each other to save the community against arbitrariness and chaos.
The question which regulations are valid in the interactions between man and other creatures and whether it is permitted or immoral to slaughter animals must be answered on everybody's own responsibility.
The « green » movement tries to bring together the demands of man and nature on an ecological level.
The quality, healthiness and convenience of ecological food is discussed in detail.
