    This paper will consider some of the dilemmas and challenges facing psychologists working overseas in a civil conflict situation.

    It will draw on the author's experience of working with a range of projects over a number of years in Sri Lanka.

    It will also briefly describe the psychological rationale of the work undertaken and consider its positioning in this context.
