    ENEA performed a study, on air-quality monitoring ith relation to combustion of ricestraw, a tipical agrarian practice.

    The study was done as requested from Provincia of Vercelli (October 1995).

    The results ofa test on an experimental area in Rive Vercellese ware used to verify the capability of DIMULA (a code to simulate atmospheric dispersion of pollutants).

    Then DIMULA was applied to a source area comprehnsive of all rice-fields in Valpadana.

    The final results of the study indicate that the combustion of rice-straw doesn't give health hazards.
