Health care reforms in Europe.
First meeting of the Working Party on health care reforms in Europe. Madrid (ESP), 1992/06/23-24.
The participants at the first meeting of the WHO Workind Party on health care reforms discussed key issues on the health care agenda of the 1990s.
The papers included in these proceedings do not cover every aspect of health care reforms in Europe, however, they can serve as the starting point for an in-depth look at their principles and practices.
The first part covers such policy issues as health care financing, health care management, and the public health function in pluralistic systems.
The second part comprises papers on reforms under way in various countries in the Region.
The WHO European Conference on health care reforms, planned to take place in 1995, will provide the opportunity for a more comprehensive and detailed discussion.
