  1. A quarter century of violence in the United States : An epidemiologic assessment.

    Article - En anglais

Over the past quarter century, violence has consistently been a major problem in the United States.

During this period, the profile of violence has changed.

Adolescent and young adults are assuming a substantially greater role in serious and fatal violent events.

Firearms account for an increasing percentage of homicides.

This trend is especially apparent among adolescents and young adults ; firearms are responsible for well over three quarters of all homicides in these age groups.
