JOURNAL OF FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY, vol. 8, n° 2, 1997, pages 37-54, réf. 2p., ISSN 0897-5353, USA
Due to increases in life expectancy rates, older families that include a person with a developmental disability have increased the length of time spent in providing care to their dependent family member.
This article examines the stresses and rewards that older caregiving parents experience in their roles as late life care providers.
Additionally, interventions and program/policy initiatives that support caregiving families are proposed.
