  1. Prostate-specific antigen as a screening test : The Austrian experience : Prostate-specific antigen : the best prostatic tumor marker.

    This article describes the results of a large prostate-specific antigen (PSA) - based screening study and report on the comparison of different PSA cutoff points, the frequency and significance of transition zone cancer, the determination of the ration free to total PSA in screening volunteers and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia lesions, and the reduction of the incidence of incidental prostate cancer by PSA screening.
