It is further categorlsed Into low and middle-income economies with a GNP of US $635 as the dividing line.
The bulk of low-income economies, often referred to as the Third World, are in sub-Saharan Africa, Asla and China, and are either Impoverished by very limited resources both human and material, or with large populations.
Nigeria is affected by both situations.
