    Article - En allemand

Traduction en anglais : The medical dosimetry register.

Early after the Chernobyl accident the All-Union Distributed Registry (AUDR) was established in former USSR.

The AUDR was indented for information support of the dispensary checkups in order to render an effective medical treatment and for long-term radiological and edipemiological monitoring of those persons exposed to radiation in order to evaluate radiation effects on their health.

After the collapse of USSR national registries in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine replaced the AUDR.

Since 1992 in Russia the Russian National Medical Dosimetric Registry (RGMDR) is established in Obninsk near Moscow.

The RGMDR is an ample database with an expanding number of registered persons (1995 : 435 276) and continuous updating by information collected in annual dispensary checkups - an important source for an objective evaluation of the Chernobyl impact and for investigation of radiation long-term exposure to health and radiogenic late-effects.
