    In the European pressurized water reactor (EPR), Nuclear Power International (NPI) and its parents companies Siemens and Framatome have together - with the support of major European electric utilities - developed a forward-looking technology for the next generation of nuclear power plants.

    Enhanced safety, competitiveness, simplified and increased operability - key issues for which the next generation of nuclear power plants has to provide satisfactory solutions should ensure that the EPR is an essential contributor to the global future of nuclear energy.
