Betriebsuntersuchungen zur Hautkrebs-Früherkennung.
Traduction en anglais : Screening investigations for early diagnosis of skin cancer in factories.
Screening investigations and education compaigns are the only method to delay the mortality due to the increasing incidence of maligne skin tumors.
Supported by the health insurrance of three companies (metalworking factory, hospital, savings bank) a skin cancer screening has been performed in 577 employees. 11 (1.9%) premaligne and maligne skin lesions has been found : 3 maligne melanomas, 1 squamous cell carcinoma, 4 basal cell carcinomas, 1 parapsoriasis en plaques Brocq, actinic keratoses. 44 (7.6%) persons need further dermatological treatment because of conspicious skin lesions (tumors ; radiodermatitis ; congenital, acquired and dysplastic nevi). 82% of the employees reported that they had often or sometimes sunburns, and in 8% multiple sunburn freckles had been found.
Further screening investigations for early diagnosis of skin cancer for the general population seem to be necessary very urgently.
