Traduction en anglais : Cyanogenic glycosides intake through Zairian food eaten by Zairian inhabitants of Brussels.
A nutritional survey has been performed, between October 1993 and February 1994, on Zairian people inhabiting Brussels to define the alimentary intake of cyanogenic compounds due to the consumption of food from Zaïre.
The results showed that the thiocyanate level in urine was not significantly correlated with the food intake.
The highest levels were found only in male smokers.
No health risk was correlated to the consumption of food from Zaïre.
