WHAT IS HEALTH PROMOTION ?
Section 1 : the theory of health promotion examines what we mean by the concepts of health, health education and health promotion, and how this influences methods and approaches.
WHAT INFLUENCES PRACTICE ?
Section 2 : dilemmas in practice addresses the ethical and political issues which influence health promotion and evaluates strategies of community development and behaviour change.
IS IT EFFECTIVE ?
Section 3 : working for health promotion looks at how it is implemented in practice through needs assessment, planning, use of the media, and crucially, evaluation, reflecting the opportunities for health promotion in a wide variety of practice settings. (R. A.).
